Voiceware: A software-based VoIP phone System

Voiceware is a software-based VoIP phone system (IP-PBX) application designed for a variety of properties. The server-based core makes Voiceware extremely scalable and flexible, while enabling Groove to continually enhance and improve communication without expensive equipment upgrades. Unlike traditional hardware-based PBXs, the Voiceware platform is fully integrated into one software-based application, built from the ground up for IP-based communication.

On-Premise or Cloud-Hosted

Unlike traditional hardware-based PBXs, the Voiceware platform is fully integrated into one software-based application, build from the ground up for IP-based communication. Voiceware can be run locally or hosted in the Cloud, meeting the needs of your communication strategy and technology management approach. This also allows you the flexibility to keep system maintenance responsibility within your organization, or utilize the experts at Groove to monitor and update the system for you.

Hybrid Design (SIP or Analog)

Leverage the latest in IP-enabled technology or implement a more cost-effective analog in those areas where it makes sense. Run the latest SIP phones or re-use your existing analog phones – your choice. Either way, your staff, residents or guests can utilize the full set of advanced features available in Voiceware, while still re-using your existing phones.

FAQs

Does my property need a VoIP?

Unlike analog phone system – also commonly known as Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) – that carries voice signals over copper wires, VoIP technology transmits voice traffic over the Internet in the form of data packets. As of August 2022 the FCC is requiring all POTS lines to be replaced. Those who do not replace their POTS lines with a digital solution will be subject to hefty rate increases. This can result in paying hundreds of extra dollars a month per phone line.

What kind of phones do hotels use?

Many hotels are making the switch from traditional landline phones to Voice over Internet Protocol phone systems for a few reasons. Significant cost saving, the flexibility to work from anywhere while still using your phone number, and many other features VoIP offers.

Are phones required in hotel rooms?

Yes. Per Kari’s law it is also a requirement that multi-line telephone systems (MLTS) used by hotels, hospitals, campuses and other businesses allow a person to dial 911 from any phone on the system without having to dial extra digits, for example, having to dial 9 first to reach an outside line.
