Introducing the newest professional DVD player from Pioneer, the DVD-V5000. Designed for easy integration into new or existing DVD-driven applications, this machine is perfect for point-of-information (POI) kiosk, training, education or corporate use.
The slim, lightweight and compact design can be rack mounted and is equipped with features like: RS-232C control, frame accurate search and NTSC/PAL playback to name a few.
FEATURES:
RS-232C Control
The RS-232C terminal provides the utmost in flexibility and compatibility by allowing users to connect the player to an external device such as a computer or custom controller.
Touch Screen Support
The player’s support of X-Y coordinate RS-232C commands means that it can be directly connected to special video monitor touch screens (available through 3rd party developers), making it an effective and affordable interactive display option for use in museums and art galleries, shopping malls, hotels or any other public venue.
Seamless and Random Frame Accurate Search Capabilities
The DVD-V5000 offers precise, random access, frame accurate search that can decrease average search times by up to 50%. In addition, all frame search options are completely seamless with the player’s expanded video buffer.
DVD Barcode
With DVD Barcode, users can control video and audio playback by scanning printed barcodes with an optional barcode reader.
Barcode Command Stacks
Users can save video play lists into the unit’s non-volatile Flash RAM for automatic recall and display, or can play back single commands or stacks of several linked commands that have been input via the remote control, barcode reader or RS-232C control.
Dust Resistant Player
The dustproof feature greatly enhances durability in high-traffic environments.
Component/Composite/S-Video
The unit boasts a full range of hardware connections that allow for simultaneous output, including component video output RCA Jacks (Y, Pr, Pb), composite video output RCA Jacks and S-Video.
NTSC/PAL Playback
Supports playback of both NTSC and PAL DVD-Video discs.
Power On Start
Upon Power On Start, the player can immediately display the DVD disc’s first-play menu. This function is ideal for exhibits, point-of-information and retail display applications.
Progressive Scan (with Component Output)
The progressive scan feature greatly reduces video noise and delivers fuller, smoother images.
